Home and Away star, Bad Boy Ben Unwin Dies at 41: Fans pay tribute on social media.

Much Loved Home and Away star, Bad Boy Ben is found dead by New South Wales Police at his Minyon Falls home. The Australian actor-turned solicitor’s body was discovered last week on August 14, 2019, a day before his 42nd birthday.

Ben found his way to limelight after his breakthrough role on the long-running Aussie TV show Home and Away in 1996. The actor had two different stints first from 1996 to 2000, and then he returned in 2002 till 2005.

Although the cause of death is yet to be confirmed, the police are not treating the end as suspicious, a police statement read. The body of a 41-year old man was located after responding to a concern for welfare at Minyon Falls, Whian Whian, about 3 hours drive from Brisbane, the media release from NSW Police read.

The Sydney born actor who is remembered for his decade long association of portraying the Bad Boy Jesse McGregor on Home and Away had also gone on to work in the music industry. Ben, directed Tubthumping, an instant hit by UK Band Chumbawamba beside directing music videos Cultural Club and Boy George.

Ben’s character on the soap opera was often troubled with the law, but in real life, the actor ended his career prematurely to pursue a career Law. Unwin worked as a senior solicitor at Newcastle, NSW after completing his law degree.

Social media was flooded with messages of tribute from fans, co-star, and broadcasters alike. Kimberly Cooper, his co-star from Home and Away took to Instagram to share her condolences by posting a picture from her first TV week cover with Ben. We had years of laughter, trying to get through the scenes as a lover, it would be sad for her now, but Ben and his memories will always be remembered, wrote the actress.

Ada Nicodemou, in a statement, shared his condolences with Ben’s family after this tragic news came out. Home and Away paid tribute their very own lousy bay on twitter and showing their support for actor’s family and friends with the most profound condolences.
