Selena Gomez was looking awesome on newsstands tomorrow cover of Interview magazine’s April 2020 issue. Get to know what the 27-year-old entertainer shared with the mag in her interview with Amy Schumer.
She told that her intention was never to become a tabloid. The situation was not under her control. And felt like none of those situations were true. The way the media was explaining things was sounding really bad. While in reality there’s nothing bad about the fact that she needed to go away or that she fell in love. Although she had to start opening up because people were taking away her narrative and she was broken due to this. Selena was so young at that time and she was undergoing lots of changes. And no one has the right to tell her about how her life is.
However, she further spoke about what has kept her afloating amid the scrutiny. She said that she knew eventually it’ll be someone else. She didn’t mean to say it in a negative way. There were times when the situations were bad for her career. But at times she even felt that she could talk about things like her depression and anxiety, things that she was struggling with. Thus, she totally opened about it because she believed in seeking help. But other than that, what kept her grounded was that she did her best to avoid it. However, there’s nothing like she doesn’t love her life, she loves it the most.
When asked about “Lose You to Love Me”, Selena told that she wrote it at the beginning of last year. It was the time she justt got out of treatment. The moment when she came back and felt like she was ready to go into the studio with people she trusted and start working on her songs. At the time she wrote the song, she was basically trying to say that she needed to hit rock-bottom to understand that there was a huge veil over her face.
