Rossdale is opening up about how he and his ex-wife Gwen Stefani have managed co-parenting amidst the pandemic. He discussed the challenges that divorced parents are facing during the coronavirus outbreak.
Gwen Stefani & ex-husband, Rossdale are living in different places of the world during the lockdown. In this time of the pandemic, the couple has had to get more creative when it comes to co-parenting their children. In an interview, Rossdale discussed what it’s like to co-parent with his ex-wife during this difficult time.
He usually gets to see his children every 5 years or so but he & she had earlier shifted their custody schedule. Rossdale explained about his son, “I did the first two weeks with them, then they went to Oklahoma.” The son is now with Stefani & her boyfriend.
When asking whether he’s been able to see his kids recently, he said, “That is the real big dilemma, for parents…kids… with split custody,” he said,” I know who is around me – no one is, And I know who’s bringing me the coronavirus – no one is. But you send your kids out to someone else, and they come back to you, and now you’re prone to whoever they are with.”
Rossdale said that it is a tricky one for all divorced parents.
He admitted that at first, he thought he might like alone time. But after ten days without seeing his children. He said that he prefers it when they are around. The family is keeping connected with a lot of facetime, he revealed, “I find myself in my kids’ pocket a lot”
After the 13 years of marriage, the couple was split in august 2015. They have three children named, Kingston(13), Zuma(11) and Apollo(6).
