The anime Natsuki Takaya’s Fruits Basket Season 1 premiered in Japan this year. With a total of 25 episodes, it turned out to be a big success.. The series adapted the events of the original manga than the first anime released back in the early 2000s. Funimation and Crunchyroll streamed the Season 1 as it aired. Funimation has also licensed the home video rights.
As per the anime’s story:
Tohru Honda thought her life was headed for misfortune when a family tragedy left her living in a tent. When the mysterious Sohma clan discovers her small home, she suddenly finds herself living with Yuki, Kyo, and Shigure Sohma. But she soon realizes their family has an unusual secret of their own: when touched by the opposite sex, they turn into the animals of the Zodiac! The exciting story, and surely holds fans’ attention for a longer duration.

The video shows Yuki preparing to deal with the Sohma family’s curse, and teases the appearance of the boy who gave Tohru her treasured cap. In the new season, Takuya Eguchi will play Kakeru Manabe, and Ai Kakuma will play Machi Kuraki.
With an entirely new Japanese cast and staff, the new anime Fruits Basket is ready for release next year, i.e., 2020. The anime will cover the entire manga’s story.
