Five months ago when the two backing members of the band- Aaron Farmer (keyboard player) and Dan Weller (guitarist) quit the band, rumors started to spread widly regarding the Florida Georgia Line’s breakup.

However,  Kelley says that the band isn’t really breaking up.

We’re not going our separate ways“, says Kelley

Hubbard clarified that “taking a break” is the more appropriate phrase in this scenario. Kelley added that he and his partner aren’t going separate ways. Instead they are just hitting a pause on recording new music. He further commented that they are artists and they love creating. The duo started trying out different writers since the last couple of years and now they wanted to go ahead with that in their music.

When Weller and Farmer left the band, Kelley and Hubbard updated their Instagram pages during that same time. And they no longer identified themselves as members of Florida Georgia Line.

The band received epic success since the last 10 years

Florida George Line released a single “Cruise” in 2012 and their popularity has only gone uphill from there. Their debut single was the first country track to be Diamond certified by the Recording Industry Association of America.

The country duo enjoyed immense success from 2012 to 2017 in terms of radio and commercial achievements. They had around dozen songs that topped the Billboard charts.

Their breakup speculations grew even more when Hubbard paired up with Tim McGraw for a single “Undivided”. Kelley also released a solo project “Sunshine state of mind”.

Will we ever get to see the iconic Florida Georgia Line together again? We’re definitely crossing our fingers on that!
