Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore Reveals New Character Posters

Uncover the secrets on April 15

Warner Bros. has released official character posters for Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore!

The third part of the Harry Potter prequel series follows up on 2018’s Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald. The story takes place in the 1930s, and Gellert Grindelwald’s powers are growing. The wizarding world is also anticipating the arrival of World War II, and Albus Dumbledore’s dark past is brought up.

Warner Bros. released the posters in waves via their social media handles. The first wave was called “Dumbledore’s first army,” a reference to the Harry Potter films. It consists of Jude Law as Dumbledore; Eddie Redmayne as Newt Scamander; Callum Turner as Theseus Scamander; Jessica Williams as Lally Hicks; Dan Fogler as Jacob Kowalski; Victoria Yates as Bunty; William Nadylam as Yusuf Kama; and Richard Coyle as ALbus’ brother, Aberforth.

The second wave consists of the baddies. Mads Mikkelson as the new Grindelwald; Ezra Miller as Credence Barebone/Aurelius Dumbledore; Poppy Corby-Teuch as Vinda Rosier, and Alison Sudol as Queenie. Mikkelson received the role from Johnny Depp, who was asked to step down due to his ongoing court battle with ex-wife Amber Heard.

The final wave consists of new wizards who haven’t taken sides yet. This includes Oliver Masucci as Anton Vogel, Maria Fernanda Cândido as Vicência Santos, and Dave Wong as Liu Tao.

The marketers releasing the posters in these waves gives us an idea of how the story will be. Queenie in the second wave Grindelwald shows that she still believes she did the right thing by leaving her sister Tina behind. The final wave hints that more magical communities will arrive in this movie, and the upcoming ones. This means new magic styles as well.

Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore will release on April 15, 2022.
