Elon Musk jokingly said he was actually Hank Scorpio, the maniacal, world-domination-obsessed supervillain from ‘The Simpsons.’ But the actor was earlier criticized as well. He was compared to Scorpio, the villain character in 2018.
According to business insider, “Musk was previously compared to Scorpio in 2018 when he started selling a flamethrower, jokingly called the Not-a-Flamethrower. The flamethrower sold 20,000 units for a total close to $10 million. Musk was criticized by US politicians for creating the device, prompting him to announce every flamethrower would be shipped with “a complimentary boring fire extinguisher.”
Well, it is not very nice to criticize someone to this extent. Even though he might take it as a joke, but he also a human being with feelings and everything. He can also get hurt by comments and criticism from people.
Just because Musk was selling a flamethrower does not mean it is right to criticize him and compare him to a scorpion. Even though he might have just have taken it in that sense but it is not fair to talk like this about him, let alone anyone even.
There was a Twitter post that said, “We all know Elon Musk is just Hank Scorpio, Elon knows it’s true!!!!!” But Elon Musk welcomed the comment about him. According to business insider, “Elon Musk welcomed comparisons between himself and “The Simpsons” supervillain Hank Scorpio on Twitter on Wednesday.”
It is probably he is a person with a humorous sense that he took it as a joke and said yes he indeed is one. Most probably not everyone would be joking like this and accepting it. There would be problems and everything. But here Elon also jokes about it, which in turn creates a humorous one. The one who tried to criticize him is now probably looking like a fool because of the actor’s response.
