A song cut featuring Jasmine & Aladdin from the movie has been released by Disney.
The musical fantasy of 2019, Aladdin had created a rave when it hit the theatres on May 24, 2019. The movie produced by Walt Disney and directed by Guy Ritchie had broken the record of $1Billion on box office and won Teen Choice awards for re-telling the classic Arabian tale.
Now, after garnering all the praises, a song from the live-action tale which couldn’t have made into the final cut of the movie has been released by Disney. The song, ‘Desert Moon’, is a duet featuring Aladdin and Jasmine when they are at two completely separate places, both metaphorically and physically. The song also showcases the singing talent of the stars Naomi Scott and Mena Massoud.
Talking about the song, the music composer Alan Menken said that he’s thrilled to be able to share this magical song from Aladdin with the world, and the lost treasure from Aladdin Live-action movie has its moment now. The movie is set to release on Blu-ray and DVDs in a couple of weeks and fans can expect several special features in the home version of the movie.
While fans can enjoy this brand new song cut made for the movie and home version of the movie, the team is already in discussion for a possible follow-up. Producer Dan Lin chatting with daily news said that he can say resoundingly that audiences want to see more. The team has received lots of fans letters about people who go back and they bring their friends and bring their family. And so, the team feels that there’s more story to tell.
