Johnny and Daniel have now united for a common cause
Cobra Kai season 4 gets an official premiere date on Netflix.
The next season of the critically-acclaimed martial arts series is all set to debut on December 31. Cobra Kai was one among many announcements made during Netflix’s TUDUM fan event. Even before season 4’s first trailer hit, Cobra Kai got renewed for a fifth season.
The story so far
Cobra Kai continues the story of the original Karate Kid franchise. It started off as a YouTube original before moving to Netflix for season 3. In season 3, we see Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka) still in shock after his star Student Miguel (Xolo Maridueña) got severely injured in a brawl between Cobra Kai and Miyagi-do students.
Johnny decides to bury the hatchet with longtime rival Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) and unite to stop the violence caused by John Kreese (Martin Kove). Kreese had also taken over Cobra Kai from Johnny.
In the sneak peek clip, we got to see Johnny and Daniel working together to make sure their students beat Cobra Kai. Their vast difference in teaching methods are obvious, and it results in some chuckle-worthy moments. But it’s still good to see the two of them not at each other’s throats the whole time. Differences are bound to occur, but what matters is how you solve them as a team.
