Ralph Macchio plays Daniel LaRusso William Zabka plays Johnny Lawrence. The plot of the show resumes 34 years after the events of the original Karate Kid film which was released back in 1984. Johnny (William Zabka) thinks of opening a Cobra Kai dojo, which ends up revitalizing his old age rivalry with Daniel LaRusso.
