Will the Red Hulk finally arrive?
There is some exciting news about Captain America: New World Order. The movie’s producer Nate Moore is currently promoting Black Panther: Wakanda Forever and shared what will happen in the Phase 5 movie, which will begin production in spring 2023.
Nate Moore on Captain America: New World Order
Moore said that the upcoming movie, which is the first feature film with Anthony Mackie as Captain America, will face off against Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross, who will be played by Harrison Ford, a role that went to him after the death of William Hurt, who had played him since 2008.
The movie will pick up after The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, and we will see Sam adjusting to his new role. It has already been announced that Danny Ramirez and Carl Lumbley will reprise their roles of Joaquin Torres and Isaiah Bradley. Tim Blake Nelson will join the cast and will play the Leader. Shira Haas will play Sabra, and Ford will finish off the lead cast list.
Moore reminded fans about the history of Sam and Ross after the latter threw the former in prison because he violated the Sokovia Accords along with the rest of Team Cap. He added that there would be some natural sparks, and will be a lot of fun.
Ross’s Transformation
It was previously announced that Ross is no longer a general in the army but a powerful citizen with equally powerful connections. He had been an anti-hero/villain in the MCU, the same as in the comics. Since Nelson is the Leader, there is definitely going to be gamma radiation running through the story, and it can lead to Ross’s transformation into the Red Hulk. Captain America can be caught in the middle of two raging villains.
Captain America: New World Order is set to release on May 3, 2024.
