The Chi is an American Drama series created by Lena Waithe. It portrays the life of a neighborhood in South of Chicago. The first episode was broadcasted on 7th of January 2018 on Showtime. The show was renewed for a second season on 30th of January 2018 that premiered on 5th of July 2019. Both the seasons were successful with IMDB rating of 7.5/10 and rotten tomatoes score of 87%. Thus fans are now hyped up for a third season.

The regular cast members are expected to be back except for Jason Mitchel. He was removed from the show on May 2019 due to many allegations of sexual misconduct. This has been confirmed by Showtime on 20th of May 2019.

The Chi series is based upon a group of people, Emmett, Brandon, Ronnie, and Kevin, residing in South of Chicago. They are brought together by a fateful turn of events.
The trailer is out and according to it, Brandon is dead and Ottis took over the political party. There is possibility of Tiffany getting pregnant and she might team up with Emmett to raise their child EJ.
