Bill Murray reveals that he will appear in Peyton Reed’s prospective MCU film, ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania’
As of now, Marvel must have figured that the Ghostbusters: Afterlife actor, Bill Murray, is not very good at keeping secrets. In a recent interview with a German outlet FAZ, the actor dropped a dime after revealing that he will appear in Marvel’s much-awaited Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. While he didn’t outright reveal the film’s title, all of his statements in the interview hinted at the third instalment of Marvel’s Ant-Man franchise.
What else did Bill Murray reveal?
While talking in an interview, the actor casually stated that he had recently played a role in a Marvel movie. However, he instantly realized his blunder and refused to reveal further details about the film and the role he plays. He stated: “I probably won’t tell you, but never mind”.
But, the 71-year-old actor later dropped a few hints while explaining why he chose to do such a project. Bill Murray stated that “I got to know the director and really liked him very much.” Further, he went on praising the director and described him as a funny and humble human. He then continued that with the cheerleader story ‘Bring It On’ the director made a movie years ago, which he thinks is damn good. According to Bill Murray, this was the reason he agreed to act in the film, despite not having an interest in such huge comic book adaptations.
All of Bill Murray’s revelations hint at Ant-Man 3
Although Bill Murray didn’t disclose any details regarding the movie, all his hints point at Ant-Man 3. Peyton Reed is the director of the cheerleader story Bring It On. Meaning, Bill Murray appears in a Marvel film directed by Reed, which happens to be Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. However, we don’t know what role he will play in the film.
Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania starring Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly will premiere on July 28, 2023.
