The CW show Arrow is back with its final season. With its eighth instalment, the show will finally draw to a close.
Prepare to say goodbye to Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell), Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards, who exited the series at the end of last season), John Diggle (David Ramsey), and the rest of Team Arrow. But first, enjoy the ten episodes left till the show takes a bow.
Luckily for fans, they will get to witness the Arrow cast again, at least for a short time. This is because The CW is planning a new five-episode marathon called “Crisis on Infinite Earths”. You will get to see your favorite TV superheroes battle it out to save others in this mega-event. It will include episodes from Arrow, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, Supergirl, Batwoman, and The Flash all between December 2019-January 2020.
This was foreshadowed in the finale of Arrow’s seventh season itself. The Monitor comes to Felicity and Oliver to ask for Oliver’s help in defending the multiverse. Also, he hints that Oliver would probably not be alive after the completion of this mission.
As for the final season of Arrow, there are a few surprises in store for that as well. Foremost of which is the comeback of a new Deathstroke. The Deathstroke party will arrive in full swing in “Present Tense” – an episode slated for a November 5 release. The series has faced different versions of this villain many times. One of Oliver’s toughest opponent was none other than Deathstroke Slade Wilson.
He was defeated by Oliver and Wilson’s son came back to avenge his death in later episodes. However, this time, who is the villain behind the mask? Who will be Oliver’s nemesis in the last and final season of the show? Guess we will have to tune in on November 5 to find out!
Catch Arrow on Tuesdays at 9 pm on The CW.
