Singer Ariana Grande has sued Forever 21 after a similar-looking model was hired by the company. In her claim, she has accused Forever 21 and Riley Rose of misusing her name and image, by employing a model that resembles her in looks. The singer has sued Forever 21 for $10 million.
Grande shared some photographs on Instagram. The model was seen wearing a black colored dress and was posing for the shot. Ariana Grande declined a deal for the shoot with the company as they could not afford a celebrity like her.
But what they did enraged the singer when they hired someone who looked like Ariana. They shot with that model for social media campaigning. A case has been registered by the district court of the US. Ariana denied promoting the company’s clothing and other items.
The company launched a misleading campaign that was released on the company’s site. According to the singer’s lawyer, the company has gone against the rules and regulations and was not supposed to release any campaign.
When Grande got to know about this, she approached the company to remove the content. Instead of removing, Forever 21 circulated it via social networking sites. The representatives of the company didn’t respond regarding the same. The exact figure which was offered by Forever 21 has not been mentioned. The clear image of the scene would be clear only after Forever 21’s reply on the same.
