Fans became worried amidst breakup rumours of the charming couple Camila Cabello and Shawn Mendes. For the 2020 Grammys both the singers reached the award show separately which instantly sparked the rumours of their breakup. The “Havana” singer walked down the red carpet with her father and the “Stitches” singer walked down the red carpet alone. Mendes was the first to arrive followed by Cabello shortly after with her father.
Why weren’t they together?
After almost a year of dating, seeing them making separate entrances led fans to believe that they may have broken up. Their chemistry together makes them one of the most loved couples presently. Fortunately, they are doing great. In the Grammys after-party, the couple danced together and held hands while engaging in some PDA. They laughed the night away and enjoyed the time together.
Camilla Cabello’s performance
The reason the couple didn’t walk the red carpet together was speculated by some fans. They reasoned that Cabello did not want the attention to be focused on her and Mendes. She wanted the night to be about her dad. Cabello arranged a special performance for her father. She sang “First Man” which she has dedicated to her father, the first man to ever truly loved her.
Cabello commenced her performance by singing about her first date and how her father was so much worried about it. All the while in the background her and her father’s home videos played on the screen. She then went down the stairs to her father who sat and looked up at her with tears in his eyes. Everyone who watched the performance couldn’t control their tears. Gwen Stefani also cried a little.
Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello are doing greater than ever. It seems like nothing can separate them.
