Will American Ninja Warrior continue its run with season 15 or has the glorious journey came to an end?
The American Ninja Warrior TV program, which airs on the NBC television network, is presented by Matt Iseman and Akbar Gbajabiamila, with Zuri Hall providing sideline reporting. The obstacle courses have changed over the course of the series and have grown increasingly difficult for contestants, who are now as young as 15 years old.
Contestants must advance past the semifinals and city qualifying rounds in order to continue in the tournament. The champion who successfully completes all four stages in the National Finals in Las Vegas receives a top reward of $1 million.
Can you anticipate a renewal of American Ninja Warrior season 15 after tonight’s major finale on NBC? Are we at the end of the road, or not? Of course, there is a lot to discuss here.
Let’s start with the current situation: The network has not fully approved another season of their venerable competition show. That does not, however, imply that it is in any kind of immediate danger. American Ninja Warrior has been a mainstay of their program for a while and has at least produced respectable ratings.
American Ninja Warrior Season 14 Ratings
It is true that season 14’s ratings thus far are lower than they were a year ago. However, in a time when streaming is more prevalent than ever, the same can be said about almost all network television. It’s not bad to have over 2.8 million live viewers and a 0.4 rating in the 18-49 demographic throughout the summer, and we can’t sit here and claim to know of a show that would completely replace this and perform better.
This show currently has an established architecture, which may be more economical than having to have anything new approved and set up. All of this matters, and with some of their bigger shows this summer, NBC has been a model of consistency.
There are probably some people who worry that NBC might end the 10:00 p.m. hour (as has been reported), but we don’t believe that would have a significant negative impact on American Ninja Warrior at the time of this writing. Due to the fact that this is a summer exhibition, there is less competition overall. This does not, in our opinion, obstruct the future in any way.
There is a good chance that season 15 of the show will air, and if it does, get ready for a flurry of news in the early months of 2023.
