The new teaser first came on Sunday, October 10 at New York Comic-Con
Amazon Prime’s action-drama hit Hanna debuted on Sunday, October 10 at New York Comic-con. Ray Liotta is the latest cast member, as previously announced.
Liotta plays Gordon Evans, a reputed former army officer and intelligence officer. Evans also wields some incredible insider power, and is menacing and complicated. But, his strict moral code with a desire to protect his country surpasses everything else. He will be the next antagonist for Hanna (Esmé Creed-Miles).
The story
Hanna was created by David Farr, and first premiered on Amazon Prime Video in February 2019, and became an underrated gem. The second season of the thriller came out in July 2020. The story is based on a 2011 film that starred Saoirse Ronan.
Hanna is a 15-year-old girl who lives in a remote forest in Poland. The only person she has known is Erik Heller (Joel Kinnaman) who acts as her father figure. Erik’s former job was to recruit pregnant women into a CIA program, code named UTRAX. In the program, the children’s DNA was enhanced to turn them into super soldiers. However, Erik falls in love with Johanna, Hanna’s mother, and later rescues Hanna and escapes. The CIA orders their on-site agent Marissa to shut down the project. But she also gets tasked to eliminate all subjects. As a result of the project, Hannah becomes the perfect assassin.
New cast and crew
Aside from Liotta, new cast members for season 3 include Áine Rose Daly, Gianna Kiehl, and Mireille Enos. Hanna is produced by NBCUniversal International Studios, Working Title Television, and Amazon Studios. Executive producers for the third season will be Tom Coan along with Marty Adelstein, Becky Clements, and Farr. Coan teased at the panel that the new season will be bigger and better than before.
In conclusion, Liotta will undoubtedly raise the stakes, but don’t take your eyes of the rest of the cast.
