Rosario Dawson will return to star as the fan-favourite character Ahsoka Tano, a Jedi Knight survivor that made her debut in the animated Star Wars series. She made her live-action debut in season two of The Mandalorian.

We are not aware of the story at this stage, but we do know that Dave Filoni will once again return to pen the series. Filoni will also executive produce the series with Jon Favreau. We are not certain how Anakin, or even Vader will fit into the Ahsoka storyline. Like The MandalorianAhsoka is set five years after the events of Return of the Jedi, which takes place after Vader’s death.

The timeline might be confusing at present, but it’s good to see that Christensen is embracing his role as Anakin. Both he and McGregor took some hits for the prequel movies, and Christensen’s performances were criticized. But with Ahsoka, it looks like the actor might be returning to the light side of The Force, while Obi-Wan, he will embrace the dark side. This gives the actor a good chance to explore his character, and with the guidance of the newer creators, he can give the fans what they wanted.

What’s also exciting is that there is now room for other prequel stars to return to the series.
