A Discovery of Witches is a British TV program based on the All Souls trilogy by Deborah Harkness, produced by Bad Wolf and Sky Productions and has Teresa Palmer, Matthew Goode, Edward Bluemel, Louise Brealey, Malin Buska, Aiysha Hart, Owen Teale, Alex Kingston, and Valarie Pettiford as its leading cast. It is named after the first book of the trilogy.
The first series of this TV program premiered on 14 September 2018 with a total of eight episodes. In November 2018, Sky One announced the show’s renewal for the second and third seasons.
Recently it was reported that the second season is expected to be premiered in 2020, but since then there has been no official news regarding any specific release date for the second season. Some sources confirmed that the filming of the second edition has already completed, making way for its release pretty soon.
The audience will get to see more of the original cast including Matthew Goode as Matthew Clairmont, Teresa Palmer as Diana Bishop and many more. It is also known that Tom Huges will be joining the original cast of ‘A Discovery of Witches’ Season two as Kit Marlowe.

This forces her back into the world of magic to solve the secrets it contains about magical beings. She receives help from a mysterious geneticist and vampire, Matthew Clairmont.
In spite of age-old mistrust between witches and vampires, they team up to protect the book, solving the mysteries hidden within while dealing with the threats from the creature world.
The Release Date
After the announcement of the series, we can expect the series to come by 2020 itself. The director A Discovery of Witches said that shooting of season 2 will begin in July of this year.
