The latest update of Gran Turismo Sport which is already available for PlayStation 4 players, is not wide-ranging. Actually the racing game is getting just one addition but it’s very significant. The virtual equivalent of the 2020 Toyota Supra, is now accessible with the April update of the console.
As you can make it out from the official photos, the Japanese sports coupe will be playable in a right-hand-drive configuration. It is not mentioned whether it’s the 2.0- or 3.0-liter version but we believe it’s the more powerful of the duo.
Update 1.57 does not have any other additions to the vehicle lineup or track collection. The previous update for the title was available back in February when three new cars were introduced – the 2010 Aston Martin DBR9 GT1, 2008 Fiat 500 1.2 8V Lounge SS, and 1996 Nissan 180SX Type X.
The franchise received five new cars in November 2019, . The cars include the Jaguar Vision Gran Turismo, RE Amemiya FD3S RX-7, 2007 RUF CTR3, 2016 Toyota 86 GT “Limited”, and 2003 BMW M3 Coupe. Also, before that the Porsche Taycan, 2015 Lamborghini Aventador LP 750-4 Superveloce coupe, and 1971 Mercedes-Benz 300 SEL 6.8 AMG also joined the game.
The most obvious change that is notable is a large step up in power. The 2020 car is now producing 382hp from its straight-six turbo, up from 335hp in the original.
Some changes are there under the skin too. In the real car features a raft of suspension tweaks, including new aluminum chassis braces under the hood. The virtual car will ride 0.1 inches (3mm) lower to the ground. Increasing initial torque and both acceleration and braking sensitivity, PD has also altered the LSD settings.
The 2020 Supra certainly arrives with a specific purpose in mind. This weekend will see the first race in this year’s running of the Toyota Gr Supra GT cup, an in-game championship for the Supra.
