Ms. Marvel Trailer Introduces the First Muslim Character of the MCU

Say hello to the MCU’s Kamala Khan aka Ms. Marvel

Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe had unveiled its next Disney Plus show – Ms. Marvel. Ms. Marvel, aka Kamala Khan has been a major part of the Avengers and other teams in the comics, and is officially making her MCU debut with this show. But first, we see Kamala discovering her powers and fighting bad guys before joining Carol Danvers and Monica Rambeau in The Marvels.

The trailer

Ms. Marvel

Kamala is Pakistani-American, and Marvel has cast Pakistani-Canadian star Iman Vellani in the lead role. The trailer shows Kamala being a teen with a big imagination, and a strong love for Captain Marvel. At the same time, we get to see her being a normal high schooler, getting crushes on boys, and trying to fit in with popular girls in her grade.

There had been different iterations of Kamala receiving her powers, and the MCU has made their own version. Kamala’s powers are similar to that of Mr. Fantastic, but different at the same time. She can enlarge her limbs or body, and grow to a massive size similar to Ant-Man. In the show, we see a special glittering effect to her power, caused from a bracelet she finds. She can also create small platforms to run.
