Taylor Swift Wins MTV VMA, Announces her Next Major Album with its Release Date

Swifties are rejoicing worldwide as Taylor Swift won at the 2022 MTV Video Music Awards for Video of the Year. Taylor’s Version of “All Too Well” starring Dylan O’Brien and Sadie Sink won the award.

Taylor Swift Makes An Announcement

Taylor Swift came on stage to accept her award and said that her next album is coming up, much to everyone’s shock. To the cheering crowd, she said that her brand new album is coming out on October 21 and that she will be revealing more at midnight. Little did everyone know that the term midnight had a huge impact on the album.

Sure enough, Swift dropped some information on her new album at midnight, which was also called Midnights. She revealed that it is the stories of 13 sleepless nights that took place at different points in her life. The album was described as a collection of music written in the middle of the night, a journey through terrors and sweet dreams. She didn’t reveal the names of the songs, but it can be seen that there are 13 tracks in total.

When Taylor Swift took the stage, one of the first things she said was that the majority of nominated directors were women. She said that it is an honor to have been recognized alongside such amazing artists and directors in that category. She said she felt heartened that four of the nominated directors were women.

Taylor Swift also added that the reason she chose to reveal her album was because of the support from her fans in the last year.

Either way, the coming album will be the next best great thing.
