About the Attraction
Ryan Reynolds and Nguyen will provide the SEA mythology with a new perspective and will set their story in the present day. A supernatural feature will be added, with new characters that are not present in SEA’s original lore. SEA debuted the Society of Explorers and Adventurers attraction at Tokyo Disneyland before bringing it to Hong Kong Disneyland. Mythology was then provided, setting the story in 1538 Italy and adding a whole set of adventurers, scientists, travelers, and even artists. Some of the characters include Harrison Hightower III, Mary Oceaneer, and Lord Henry Mystic. Ryan Reynolds and Qui Nguyen plan to launch a franchise based on this project.
Meanwhile, Nguyen’s Strange World will debut on Disney+ on November 23. Reynolds is gearing up to shoot Deadpool 3 along with Hugh Jackman, and it will take place in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
