Julianna Margulies to Front Holocaust Specials for CBS and MTV
The American actress and author, Julianna Margulies, will be hosting the Holocaust Memorial Specials. ‘The Good Wife’ actress will front to specials that will air on MTV and CBS. The first special is titled ‘The Hate We Can’t Forget: A Holocaust Memorial Special’ for Smithsonian Channel/MTV International. The second special will be titled ‘Undeniable: The Truth to Remember’, for CBS. The actress will be making a return to CBS after ‘The Good Wife’ ended.
This is going to be the highest collaboration till date between MTV Entertainment and CBS. Chris McCarthy and George Cheeks, the top ranking executives will be conducting this collaboration.
What Will the Specials Feature?
‘The Hate We Can’t Forget: A Holocaust Memorial Special’ will be televised on January 26, Wednesday, at 10 pm on Smithsonian Channel. It will then air on MTV internationally one day later on January 27, Thursday and on January 31, Monday in the U.S.
The specials will pursue 4 holocaust survivors and their horrifying experiences under Nazi rule. They will be accompanied by kids from schools that are clueless to the abuse afflicted upon the Jews. The specials will also try to explore the impact that the slaughter of six million Jews has had on the Millennials and Gen Z.
Kids Oblivious to the Holocaust
The show will also feature students from Hastings High School in Houston, TX. These students do not know anything about the holocaust as their school has skipped past that part of the history. The holocaust survivor will essentially share their stories with these kids for the first time. According to a quiz they lack knowledge about these events.
The executive producers from ATTN and MTV News will be producing the specials. Undeniable: The Truth to Remember will air on January 29, Saturday at 8 pm on CBS before streaming on the Paramount+CBS streaming platform.
