The actor seems to be in better spirits these days
John Travolta had a good time hanging out with his daughter and friends this Friday.
The 66-year-old Pulp Fiction actor shared a photo from his outing with daughter Ella, 20, and friend, Mötley Crüe rocker Tommy Lee while celebrating Lee’s wife Brittany Furlan’s 34th birthday. Other birthday guests included Lee’s son Brandon and Furlan’s friends Mikaela Hoover and Daniella Beckerman.

“Lovely Lunch today with the Lee’s. Happy birthday @brittanyfurlan!” the actor captioned the sweet image.
Lee and Furlan got married last Valentine’s day.
Life after Kelly Preston’s death
Travolta lost his wife of nearly 29 years, Kelly Preston to breast cancer on July 12. She had been diagnosed two years ago.
He also posted a video last month of him and Ella dancing in Preston’s memory. “My daughter @ella.travolta and I dancing in memory of momma,” he captioned. The song they were dancing to was “Dancing with me”, one of Preston’s favourite songs.

Travolta and Ella had shared tributes to Preston following her death. John wrote, “It is with a very heavy heart that I inform you that my beautiful wife Kelly has lost her two-year battle with breast cancer. She fought a courageous fight with the love and support of so many.” He also made sure to thank the doctors and nurses at MD Anderson Cancer Center, and the couple’s many friends who showed their support to Kelly during her treatment.
Ella also shared a touching tribute to her mother, calling her “courageous, strong, beautiful and loving.”

She wrote, “Anyone who is lucky enough to have known you or to have ever been in your presence will agree that you have a glow and a light that never ceases to shine and that makes anyone around you feel instantly happy.”
