When Jason Aldean uttered Maren Morris’ name, the audience reacted poorly!
Jason Aldean wanted to introduce a special guest artist while performing at Bridgestone Arena. He began by saying that he was curious as to whom he should call before he welcomed the guest performer. When he listed Luke Bryan, Kane Brown, and Kenny Chesney, the crowd responded effectively.
The story, however, took an unexpected turn when he mentioned Maren Morris, receiving a negative reaction from the crowd at his concert because of her altercation with the Aldean’s in 2001. Finally, special guest vocalist Morgan Wallen appeared on stage, and the two of them sang together.
The Reason Behind Their Fight
Their quarrel began when Brittany Aldean uploaded an Instagram video of herself doing makeup. She captioned it commenting about her parents for not letting her alter her gender when she was in her tomboy phase because she appreciates being a girl.
Jason Aldean reacted by declaring that he is glad she is a girl because otherwise they would not have been able to become one. Morris didn’t like this, and she lambasted both of them because she considered their interactions transphobic. She even described herself to Brittany as an Insurrection Barbie.
Brittany said she was surprised by the negative feedback she got when she went on Fox News following this event.
Then, once Aldean was discovered using a racial slur while intoxicated, Morris criticized him. Morris told the Los Angeles Times that she wasn’t sure what to say or feel because she wasn’t close to Aldean’s, but she accepted his apologies regardless of how weak they were.
We wish Jason Aldean and Morris a speedy resolution of their differences and a pleasant reunion!
