Britney Spears’s makeup artist recently claimed that she would have had another child if it weren’t for the “Handmaid’s Tale-type” plot that has been preventing her from doing so.
Celebrity cosmetician Maxi recently appeared on the Calababes podcast, where she claimed that the “Baby One More Time” singer, who has two children from her previous marriage, wanted a baby with current boyfriend Sam Asghari, but due to her ongoing conservatorship has been unable to do so.

Maxi said that he was a supporter of the #FreeBritney movement because “anyone with a heart” would care about her wellbeing and get rid of the conservatorship.
Maxi continued by saying that they’re still controlling her life, such as whether she has a baby or not, whether she decides to get married or not, or who will be in her friends circle. He also said that Asghari is one of his closest friends. He said that if it weren’t for the Handmaid’s Tale-type plot that’s been circulating around her, she would’ve had a baby with Sam and probably would’ve been married as well, and could hang out with her friends.
Maxi also pointed out that followers of the #FreeBritney movement often believe in baseless conspiracies such as one that said Asghari is being paid by Jamie Spears.
A conservatorship means having a guardian or protector appointed by the court to manage the life of someone due to physical or mental limitations. Spears has been under one since 2008 and her father has been managing her for 12 years.
Her lawyer previously compared her current state to that of a comatose patient, as even though she’s awake, she’s not capable of signing a single legal document and only have a lawyer speak on her behalf.
