Batwoman: Season 3 of Superhero Series to give Major Insight about Poison Ivy!

Poison Ivy will have a major story arc this season

Batwoman season 3 will have a significant character arc for Poison Ivy. The CW series began in October 2019, and is based on the character that more or less belonged to the Bat family. Batwoman is now part of the Arrowverse, and was part of crossovers as well. However, Ruby Rose, who was first cast as Kate Kane/ Batwoman left the series after one season and a crossover. Season 2 had Ryan Wilder (Javicia Leslie) take up the mantle.

Season 2 ended with Ryan out on parole and accepting her role as Batwoman more. However, when she goes to visit Alice (Rachel Skarsten) in Arkham Asylum, she finds out that her birth mother is still alive.

Season 3 of Batwoman will delve further into Ryan’s estranged mother. But that’s not all. Major DC villains were foreshadowed in the previous season, with Penguin’s umbrella and Mad Hatter’s signature look were shown for a brief second in the Gotham River. Meanwhile, Poison Ivy’s ivies were taking root on the shore. Later in August, Bridget Regan was announced to star as Ivy.

Batwoman showrunner Caroline Dries spoke to TVLine about Poison Ivy. She said that the story will stay true to her canon history, but will still be a fresh take. She also teased a major aspect of Ivy’s story that she could not reveal now. But she promised that it will be a difficult arc for Ryan.
