Barbarian is an upcoming horror film from 20th Century Studios and New Regency. The frightening story revolves entirely around an Airbnb, where a young woman finds a man already living at the house she rented. Barbarian – Story And Trailer
The premise is quite clear from the trailer we got. The trailer starts with Tess (Campbell) arriving at her suburban Airbnb with heavy rains outside. When she finds out that it actually has an inhabitant, she rings the doorbell and a man named Keith (Skarsgård) opens the door. An old timey romantic song plays and one might think tit can be the start of a cute romantic comedy. However, Tess wakes up in the middle of the night after hearing footsteps. She looks around for Keith but there is no trace of him.
Tess explores the house and finally gets to the basement. Over there, she sees a strange door that can only be opened with a rope. Inside, she finds Keith and others trapped, and watches a video tape where mysterious and dangerous experiments are conducted.

The movie additionally stars Matthew Patrick Davis, Justin Long, Richard Brake, Matthew Patrick Davis, Jaymes Butler, and Kurt Braunohler, but none were shown in the trailer. The trailer made sure to confuse the watcher after the initial scenes. Barbarian is written and directed by Zach Cregger, who is best-known for writing the cult sketch-comedy The Whitest Kids U Know.
Barbarian hits theatres on August 23.
