Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War Episode 7 is out and here’s what we got

Special Ending for Episode 7 Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War

The Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War arc is highly disputed by fans as being either the best or worst, fans wanting to see it end as the conclusion that Bleach deserves. The last arc of Bleach was directed by Tomohisa Taguchi, who was involved with the production of Persona 4 The Animation and Twin Star Exorcists, and the series is based on the manga written by Tite Kubo.

A new and special inclusion to the anime, fans are finally getting to see the first line-up from Legendary, with the Captains being the Head Captains. To commemorate the death of Genryuusai Shigekuni Yamamotos head Captain, episode 7 of Bleach TYBW features a special closing sequence featuring the original captains of Gotei 13, along with Vice-Captain Sakabe.

The special ending of Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War episode 7 adapts that design, paying attention to each character, adding the scene where Sasakibe vows loyalty to head-captain Genryuusai Shigekuni Yamamotos in the ending.

Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War episode 7 also revealed that in order to defeat Yhwach, Vice Captain Sasakibe used his Zanpakuto to stab Yhwach from behind, and Captain Yamamoto attacked him from in front. Episode 7 ends with Yamamoto being sliced by Yhwachs shoulders.

Episode 7 shows the last moments of Yhwachs life right before the Shinigami managed to impale Yhwach from behind, then Genryusai finished him off with a fiery down smash. We are then treated to a flashback of Genryusai telling the younger shinigami a picture of Yhwachs last moments and saying if Yhwachs monster was to return to the Society of Souls, that it would be his last.

These scenes were both terrifying and thrilling, because a fight between Yhwach and the head captain, Yamamoto, was heavily implied, and it will come to a head in future episodes.

Not only that, there are various styles of animation used throughout the episode throughout the various segments, giving it a much more diverse, peaceful feel than the Bleach 1000 Years Blood War has shown before.
