The writer answered some interesting questions during a question answer session with fans
The creator of Sons of Anarchy Kurt Sutter has been spending time at home answering questions from fans while self isolating from the coronavirus pandemic. In one of the sessions, Kurt Sutter was asked if he would want to work with Sons of Anarchy star Charlie Hunnam again, and Sutter replied that he would “in a heartbeat.” He also added that, for that to happen, he would need to find the right project that could test their talents as actor and writer.
Something entirely different
When FX launched Sons of Anarchy’s spinoff series Mayans M.C. in 2018, there had been speculation that Hunnam would return in his role as Jax. But since the show is set after the events of Sons of Anarchy, there was no way possible to bring him back as it ended with him getting killed. Hunnam even told Entertainment Tonight that there’s very little chance of him ever playing that part again.
Hunnam spoke about how he practically became the character that he realised about it only after wrapping up the show and putting him to rest. The actor has several good memories associated with the show for which he won a Critics’ Choice Television Award nominations in the year 2012 and 2015 for his amazing work.
We can see from Sutter’s Instagram profile that he continues to be in touch with Hunnam and often shares throwback photos taken during the Sons of Anarchy days. Hunnam has also reunited with his SOA costars at conventions and we can see that the bond between them stays strong even after the show ended.
Sons of Anarchy first aired on FX between 2008 and 2014 and is currently available for streaming in Hulu. It was the show that boosted Hunnam’s Hollywood career.
