Train to Busan is a South Korean action horror film which was directed by Yeon Sang-ho and starred by Gong Yoo, Jung Yu-mi, and Ma Dong-Seok. The film premiered in the midnight section of the 2016 Cannes Film Festival on 13 May 2016.
The film was a massive hit worldwide and broke box office records in South Korea & received overwhelming critical praise. And now fans are waiting for a follow-up and hope so their wish will soon be granted. Train to Busan 2: Peninsula is not a straight sequel, but it is a standalone film.

The cast of the film
Dong-won Gang starred as Jung Suk: Dong-won Gang is a household name in the country’s film industry. He will make his debut in Hollywood later this year in ‘Tsunami LA.’ His famous roles are in movies, ‘1987: When the Day Comes’, ‘Golden Slumber’, and ‘A Violent Prosecutor’ and many more.
Jung-Hyun Lee as Min Jung: Jung-Hyun Lee is also famous for her occasional stage name Ava. She played roles in films ‘The Admiral’, ‘Battleship Island’, ‘Love, Again’, and more.
Creator: Yeon Sang-ho: Yeon Sang-ho is a Korean writer and director and is famous for his animate features like ‘The King of Pigs’ and ‘The Fake’.
The plotline of the film
Train to Busan 2: Penisula is not so much a sequel. The story is after the incidents of the first film. Now this time the city, Busan is completely ruined. The name of the sequel is taken from the Korean peninsula, which shows any signs of civilization in the film.
