On 20th August 2019, the social, media went crazy with the announcement that the fourth Matrix movie is officially in making, with Keanu Reeves and Carrie- Anne Moss returning to the fourth edition. Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and Jessica Henwick will lead, and Neil Patrick Harris will be another key character. Recently Jonathan Groff and Toby Onwumere have been added too.c
Matrix Revolutions ended with the killing of Reeves and Moss’s character and ending the so-called war between the man and the machine. So the matter of fact here is how will the story continue?
There exist a lot of possibilities for the man-machine war to heat up all over again. Fans have been waiting for the fourth part to be as interesting, different and daring as the original Matrix.
The official release date has just been confirmed as 21 May 2021. The production is scheduled to begin in February 2020 in San Francisco.
The three movies in the original trilogy were co-written and co-directed by Lilly and Lana Wachowski, but this is not the thing this time. It’ll be just Lana directing along with Cloud Atlas author David Mitchell and The Lazarus Projectwriter Aleksander Hemon added to the script.
Lana Wachowski once said that she is really happy to have the characters back in her life and is grateful for another chance to work with her brilliant friends.
Warner Bros has not released any posters as of now.
