Portraying the dark sides of “serial killers,” Netflix as always never disappointed to come up with a crazy show, namely, “MINDHUNTER” two years back in October.
Why Mindhunter is so famous?
The show gradually become popular among the crowd due to its amazing dialogues, wonderful cinematography and not to forget the well-appreciated performance of cast members.
The show is based on real-life killers and research where the psychologist, Wendy Carr (Anna Torv) comes up with an idea to analyze the moral behavior and understanding of the killer.
The fun fact about the series is that it is based on the novel- ‘MINDHUNTER: Inside the FBI ‘s Elite serial crime unit.’ Not only this, the term ‘serial killer’ found it’s beginning from this research only.
Netflix is the king of making people clutch their hearts as they wait for the roll of next season. All most all the shows of Netflix follow the trend. Every season has a time gap around 1 to 2 years, and this is enough for people to drive insane.
But Mindhunter is a thriller show, and there was almost a gap of 2 years when the second season of Mindhunter was rolled out. Netflix has announced the third season of Mindhunter and fans are not sure how long they have to wait for this season. Probably three years? It is safe to say so.
Since there is a lot of time for the third season of Mindhunter to come to Netflix, many fans have started talking about their theories. Following the events from season 2, a lot of people think that little Brian Tench almost perfectly fits the description of a budding serial killer. Following the murder of an infant, Billy Tench literally begins to exhibit what Holden defines as the traits of a classic serial killer. However, it was actually an idea of Brain Tench’s to put the sad infant on the cross in an attempt to revive the infant.
But there are a lot of fans out there who are torn apart from this theory. Moreover, it is ironic to note that Bill’s own son is on the path of becoming what he studies. But a lot of fans imply that this theory’s plot is just fascinating.
The fact is that Brian Tench’s plot is based on the incident from real life, and it is assured that Brian is not going to grow up to become a serial killer. The real-incident took place in 1971 and is popularly referred to as the “Crucifixion Murder.”
There are a lot of other theories going around the internet. But this theory was the most impressive one.
Mindhunter 3, is nowhere and it is not officially out for Netflix but, with the anticipation by watching the season 2 of the series, one can tell that there is going to be the third part out soon for the series about the most infamous criminals. The season 2 of the show included Charles Manson, who tracked the chase for the Atlanta child murderer and continued with the narration of the story of BTK. The series continues with the murderers for nine episodes, and it cannot be over with it. There has to be a further story to tell.
Executive producer David Fincher wants the Mindhunter series to go up to a total number of five seasons and so, it cannot be done with only 2 of them out. According to the Mindhunter star Holt McCallany, Fincher has said to take the series to five seasons and does not intend to ruin it at all.
Fincher may be ready to carry on with the show, but there is no comment from the side of Netflix. Since the streaming service does not release the number of views on a show, the success of the series is hard to tell. However, with the amount of fame and the comments, the folks seem to be liking it.
With the story going on for all the murderers, the main focus here is on Brian, Bill Tech’s son. At the end of episode four in season 2, there is a twist in the plot and Tech came to know that his son, Brian was present in one of the murder scenes of a young child. So for now, the mystery is, will Brian be a Murderer? It is hard to tell. Unlike other children, Brian after the murder scene shut himself down, which is instead something dark and a sign that there may be some evil brewing up in there.
Being another great work by David Fincher, who gave us ”Gone Girl’(2014), ‘The girl with the dragon tattoo'(2011) and many other awestruck movies/shows; this show didn’t fail to carve its a niche on the list of his great work. The overwhelming, intense dialogues were another reason that the show catches such a great response in a short time.
Although the first season aired two years back yet, we had to wait till August (2019) for the second season to be aired. Though there isn’t any clear clarification by the team that whether season three is going to happen or not, still there is a slight hope that the show would go on.
Mindhunter season 3?
Holt Mccallany, who plays Special agent Bill Tench, told in an interview with Pop Culture that he is not hopeful of a third season, but two more on top of that.
So, there isn’t any official green signal to the third season right now, but it won’t be wrong expecting another season of this wonderful piece.
The first season had ten episodes in total, while the second season came after a huge yet a worthy break of two years having nine episodes in total. So maybe it may take some more time to the third season to be on the air as Fincher is busy working on his current film.
