The Ghost Bride is now streaming on Netflix from 23rd January 2020. Till now, the series has released only one season with 6 episodes, and no new season has been confirmed yet. It is a Taiwanese Malaysian Netflix original series based on the novel of the same name The Ghost Bride by Yangszee Choo.

The series is co-directed by Malaysian directors Quek Shio-Chuan and Ho Yu-hang and written by Taiwanese American scriptwriter Wu Kai You.

The Ghost Bride portrays the life of a woman how she got married to a dead guy to live the rest of her life as his wife and also to find his killer. The series cast Huang Pei-Jia as Pan Li Lan, Wu Kang-Jen as Er Lang, Ludi Lin as Lim Tian Bai and Kuang Tian as Lim Tian Ching. In addition to it, there are other supporting characters also in the series.

Should the series be streamed or skipped?

Since the Ghost Bride is a Netflix original series, the series will be good for streaming despite its Malaysian and Taiwanese origin. The series has a romantic yet horrific plot to it. It has good cinematography with American sensibility in the show.

Moreover, the novel was written by a Harvard educated Malaysian Chinese and it was also a New York Times bestseller. The writer of the series has also written for series The Hannibal and The Flash.

The writer is telling a well fleshed out intriguing story even though the setting is historical which will attract the audience more. The series has all the things mixed in its adventure, romance, mystery, and suspense.
