They say it right that you shouldn’t play with the machines you are not familiar with especially when it belongs to your Dad. A young kid learned it the hard way.
A clip surfaced on Facebook on Thursday which shows a young boy crashing his dad’s Ford Mustang Shelby GT350R into the garage wall as he attempts to start the 527-horsepower beast. In less than 10 seconds, the Voodoo V-8 came into life and lurched forward to hit the metal wall on the front with a loud bang.
Apparently, the boy got into the driving seat of his dad’s Ford Mustang to show it to his friends when he launched the sports car and it hit the wall. As soon as the Ford Mustang got hit, the kid leapt out of the car cursing himself for his action. He came out screaming, “I’m dead, I’m dead, I’m f**king dead!”
My friend sent me this of his buddy starting daddy’s manual mustang lol

While we feel bad for the kid because we understand the repercussions of the kid’s actions, we can’t help and laugh out over his panic. We all have been through that phase where we did something destructive out of parents’ knowledge and bore the brunt of it, however, the kid’s mistake is of magnanimous magnitude.
If a manual transmission car gets shut off while it is in gear, it needs to be brought back into neutral after starting it up again and letting off the clutch. The Mustang has a clutch interlock that the driver must have the pedal depressed to get the engine going otherwise it’ll jump forward as the engine will still remain directly connected to the drive wheels.
The Shelby GT350R is the most track-focused pony car in the Mustang line-up. The car provides the complimentary high-performance driving experience with a snarling riot that’ll shoot from 0 to 60 mph in 3.9 seconds, pull well over 1.09 Gs of lateral grip in a corner, and keeps the user laser-focused on the task at hand with that six-speed stick.
