Fire broke out in the Monday night at the legendary music venue Koko at Camden Town. The fire occurred approximately at 9 pm which engulfed the music venue and has also caused widespread devastation. After the fire broke out 60 firefighters and eight trucks from six brigades came to control the fire. After battling with it for almost six hours they managed to control the fire at 3 am.
It was believed that the flames have spread through the roof of the building and the rest of the building was saved by the firefighters. The cause of the fire is still unknown which is still under investigation. It was reported that more than 22 people have called the fire department to notify them of the fire. The station commander with the London Fire Brigade Jonathan Smith stated that firefighters quick action and hard work in the early stages meant that the fire was contained to the roof and save the rest of the building.

Koko which was previously known as the Camden Theatre originally opened on Boxing day, 1900 which became a live music venue The Music Machine in 1977. It then hosted a series of punk band and new wave. Camden Palace was born in 1982 which hosted Madonna’s first UK performance.
The venue closed down in 2004 which later on opened as Koko that featured corporate events, live music, club nights and Tv production. The famous music acts included that of Prince, Kanye West and Bruno Mars. It was currently closed and undergoing refurbishment when the broke out. The music place was set reopen in the spring according to its official website.
