New Year Eve is a time for celebration and joy, but sometimes it becomes a gloomy moment. The same happened with Jenji Kohan. She is the creator of Golden Globe award-winning “Weeds” and Emmy winner “Orange Is the New Black”.
Her son, Charlie Noxon was celebrating New Year Eve with his father, Christopher Noxon and two siblings in Park City, Utah. As reported, the accident took place on a trail near Canyons Village. The Park City Mountain Ski Patrol found him and called for immediate medical assistance. A helicopter from the University of Utah airlifted him to the nearest hospital. He was declared dead by the doctors.
Charlie was 20 years old. He lived in Los Angeles. He was studying at Columbia University. Once he featured in an episode of “Weeds” in 2008. His father became emotional while reporting about the incident.
He said Charlie was brilliant, kind, funny, sensitive and loving. He was keenly interested in and deeply curious about the world around him since he was a small child. Folks describe themselves as brilliant but Charlie was truly brilliant. He was missing his big smile, curious mind and gentle heart.
Charlie was one of the three children of Jenji Kohan and Christopher Noxon. They married in 1997 and divorced 21 years later in 2018. Park City Mountain extended their deepest sympathy and support to his family and friends.
