Zac Afron is back home and he revealed about his illness in Papua, New Guinea

Why was Zac Efron admitted in the hospital?

Zac Efron is an American singer and actor who is best known for his role as Troy Bolton in the High School Musical series. Recently he was hospitalised after falling ill while filming for his new Survival series titled as Killing Zac Efron in Papua New Guinea. The actor on was rushed to hospital in a serious emergency. It was reported that he had been caught up with a typhoid or similar type of infection.

The actor was flown to a hospital in Brisbane in a near life or death situation to be treated by medical experts. After that he was admitted for a number of days to the St Andrews War Memorial Hospital before allowing by the doctor to leave for US. The director of the Medical Rescue Group, Dr Glenn McKay did not confirm anything else but stated that his team did received a US citizen from PNG to Brisbane in his 30s for medical attention in Australia.
Recent address by Zac Efron about his health

On Sunday and Monday the actor posted on his Instagram and Twitter account respectively about his health stating that he had received treatment and is feeling better after being diagnosed with a life threatening disease.
The actor addressed stating that he is very thankful to everyone who had reached out to him.He did got sick in Papua New Guinea but quickly bounced back and finished an amazing three weeks in PNG. He has returned home for the holidays with his friends and family. He also thanked everyone for their love nad and concern. He did not said anything about his disease or the type of treatment he had undergone.
