Gary Oldman to retire from acting after Slow Horse Season 2 in a Shocking Move!

Oscar winner, Gary Oldman has already indicated that he is ready for his retirement from his illustrious career that had made him bag three Academy Award nominations and become one of the highest-grossing actors in history.

The British star, Gary Oldman who worked in Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy and long running Harry Potter franchise is returning to TV with the second season of Slow horses of Apple TV+. The actor also said that he will be happy to bow out whenever the show ends.

His thoughts on his soon to be retirement

Gary Oldman told in an interview that he had an enviable career but other things interest him outside of acting.

He said that when a person is young he thinks that he will be soon doing all that he likes to do but soon the years go by.

He further said that he will be 65 next year and 70 very soon and he wanted to be active when he will be 80 as well.

He said that he is very happy and honored and privileged to play the character of Jackson Lamb but then he wants to hang it up.

Role of the actor in Slow Horse

Oldman is contracted for two more series of Slow Horses in which he plays the role of spymaster Jackson Lamb, the boss fictional Slough House, a kind of Siberia for disgraced agents.

Slow Horse is based on the bestselling books written by Mick Herron and season one of Apple’s most critically acclaimed show.

Oldman will be appearing once again on screen for Christopher Nolan next year in Oppenheimer which is a story related to the creation of the atomic bomb.

Gary Oldman won his Oscar in 2018 for his portrayal of UK wartime prime minister Winston Churchill in Darkest Hour.
