Lindsay Lohan talked about whether or not she is into a sequel of some of her past hit films like Freaky Friday and Mean Girls are created. While promoting her new Netflix movie, Falling for Christmas on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon the host of the show Jimmy Fallon asked the actress about her being in the potential sequels.
Lindsay’s wish to be in Freaky Friday
The question followed after Jamie Lee Curtis expressed her interest in making a follow-up movie to Freaky Friday.
Lohan acknowledged that Curtis has reached out to her about the idea of creating a sequel while Lindsay was on the set of her new holiday movie, Falling for Christmas.
Lindsay Lohan said that she was on the set filming at the time and got very excited when Jamie Lee Curtis wrote her back that she got very extracted and distracted immediately.
After Jamie Lee Curtis’s message, she calmed herself down and made herself focus on her filming. She said that when she heard Freaky Friday 2 she got very excited.
Lindsay’s thoughts about the Mean Girls sequel
Lindsay Lohan further added that she and Curtis are both into making another film that will be based on their Freaky Friday characters.
Jimmy Fallon snuck another question about the sequel to Mean Girls and Lohan replied that the follow-up to the movie for Mean Girls would be in Tina Fey’s hands.
In an interview, Curtis said that she had an idea for the Freaky Friday sequel where Lindsay will play a hot grandma who is still happy with Mark Harmon in every way. Curtis further added that she will be the old grandma and then only Lindsay gets to be the sexy grandma.
Although Curtis said she talked to the people at Disney about a sequel but there’s no word if they will consider making the sequel yet.
