‘London Boy’ singer Taylor Swift has cleared fans’ doubts surrounding her new track. The lyrics of the song had become a subject of trolling. The fun was poked after the listeners listened to the lyrics on the British Capital carefully.
In the song, Taylor sings about falling in love with a London resident and traveling to different locations in London, Camden Market, Brixton, the West End, Hackney, Bond Street, and Highgate. She talks about falling in love with the London guy, Joe Alwyn.
The song is from her latest album, ‘Lover’, which has recently hit the top of the US Billboard. The confusion amongst fans was Taylor visiting all the locations mentioned in the song in a single day.
In an interview with BBC Radio 1, Taylor cleared this doubt which was floating amongst her fans. She said that this wasn’t intended to happen in the time span of 24 hours.
Swift clarified that it is supposed to happen over the space of three years. “Somebody told me, ‘They think you’re talking about one day’, and I was like, ‘Oh no, you’d never make it. You wouldn’t make it. You’d make it in three years!’”, she explained.
In the interview, Taylor also revealed that she had written the song in the middle of the night. This happened when she wasn’t able to sleep. She said the idea she had, ended up being something she was proud of, later.
There are also lyrics like, “Babe don’t threaten me with a good time” which the listeners assumed to be for the diva Collins. On this, Taylor said that “forgive the impression”. It is just something her British friends would say all the time and exactly in the same manner.
