It will be released on the 12th of October, the two-part documentary will hear the immediate accounts of the eminent people involved in Barney & Friends including the likes of previous Barney voice actors Bob West and David Joyner.
In the trailer for the upcoming two-part documentary, many talking creatures, from Bill Nye the Science Guy to NBC’s Al Roker, share the plot of how rapidly the world turned against the affable dinosaur, declining its values of admittance and respect. Bob West, a Barney performer who took dress for the happy purple dinosaur, shared that death threats were made against his whole family. “They were brutal and straightforward, death and subdivision of my family,” he says in the trailer. “They were gonna come and find me, and they were going to kill me.”
Plot:
The prime message of the well-known “Barney and Friends” kids show was to spread love and happiness to one another, but the trailer for a new Peacock documentary shows the idea that America was not so anxious to accept that message.
“I Love You, You Hate Me,” tells how a children’s character who stood for admittance, understanding, and affection began a movement of annoyance and criticism that warned the show, its creators, executive producer Joel Chiodi, leader of documentaries and SVP of strategic development at Scout Productions, said. “As it highlights the starting of modern-day hatred culture, this sees the development of the character and how it had an impact on the people nearest to it, testing the astonishing and persisting impact the ‘Big Purple Dinosaur’ left on American society.”
