John Wick 4 is still an year away from release
If rumours are true, we are very close to getting the first trailer for John Wick 4! The Keanu Reeves-starrer is still a year away from release, but Lionsgate has already kicked off promotions. Las Vegas is hosting this year’s CinemaCon later this week, and one of the posters was for the movie. The promotional poster is outside the venue for visitors to glance at. Keanu is shown in full John Wick mode with a gun in hand. There are flowers in the background, indicating a special meaning. Let’s read on.
John Wick 4 Official Title
LionsgateThe third movie of the franchise was titled, John Wick: Parabellum. This trend is expected to carry forward to the fourth season as well. Some earlier reports suggested that the movie is titled John Wick: Chapter 4 – Hagakure. This Japanese text teaches us the way of the samurai. The filmmakers are yet to confirm this bit of information.
The new movie will be the first one that does not involve creator Derek Kolstad. Kolstad had told in an earlier interview that he will not be involved in the fourth as well as fifth movie. He said that the studio has let him off as creative head. However, he is still close to the directors Chad Stahelski and David Leitch.
Upcoming Spin-offs
The John Wick movies have become so iconic that more content is being developed in its world. A prequel series titled The Continental is in development, showing the younger years of Ian McShane’s character Winston. A spin-off movie titled Ballerina is also in development. Ana de Armas has been cast in the lead. With the poster out, let’s hope the official trailer for John Wick 4 releases at CinemaCon.
