The Shawn Levy- Ryan Reynolds Trilogy
“The Adam Project” director Shawn Levy will once again team up with actor Ryan Reynolds for his debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. After the success of his most recent Netflix movie, Levy was approached to direct third instalment of the “Deadpool“. After Tim Miller and David Leitch, Levy will direct the upcoming instalment.
As of now, Ryan Reynolds is the only actor, confirmed to be a part of Deadpool 3. Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese, who wrote the first two instalments of the franchise will also write the third one. The movie has been under development for years and finally some details are now public for the fans.
Levy to Direct With the Previous Writers of Deadpool
Lizzie Molyneux-Loeglin and Wendy Molyneux were also approached to write Deadpool 3. However, the original writers will still write the movie.
The Deadpool franchise is one of the highest grossing film based on the “X- Men”. After Disney acquired 20th Century Fox Studio, there were concerns that the upcoming Deadpool movies would be family friendly. But, Disney CEO later confirmed that the Deadpool franchise will continue to be R- rated.
Reynolds’s Excitement for The Project
Ryan Reynolds took to Twitter to share his excitement about working with Levy once again. He shared a picture of his characters in Deadpool, The Adam Project and The Free Guy, with the caption “The third film in my Shawn Levy trilogy will be a tad more stabby”.
Deadpool 3 will mark the third film where Reynolds and Levy work together. Their first project together, “The Free Guy”, released on August 13 of last year. Their second project “The Adam Project”, just released about a week ago. Both of these movies did quite well. All the fans love this duo and will be exciting to see them both together in the MCU.
