Anna Wood and Oluniké Adeliyi In the NBC Drama Unbroken
Actress Anna Wood, famous for playing a recurring role in Deception will appear in the lead role along with Oluniké Adeliyi. Adeliyi, famous for her 2010 horror film Saw 3D, will star in NBC‘s “Unbroken” drama pilot.
The series will also star Amanda Payton and Delon de Metz. Bronwen Hughes will direct the pilot for this upcoming drama and executive produce it as well. The New Amsterdam executive producer Shaun Cassidy will also be a part of the series along with Hughes and Universal Television.
Premise of The Show
The show will follow three families on the coast of California fighting to survive. Ultimately,, they set a stage for a bunch of young women to win the National Championship of Rodeo. Payton will play a winemaker, who works at the ranch, Ella.
De Metz plays Cole who also works at the ranch an runs a trail-riding operation. Ella tries to keep her family together while Cole tries to make a place in his family. Adeliyi will play Ndidi “Dee” Stanton who marries a rodeo cowboy and then moves to California with him to raise a family.
Cassidy To Write The Show
Amanda Payton’s film titled the Journey Is the Destination premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival. She currently plays a recurring in CBS’s United States of Al, NBC’s Chicago PD and on the Peacock series Code 404 as a series regular.
Cassidy will write the play and also executive produce it. Hughes directed the plot for Resident Evil, USA’s White Collar and Fairly Legal. She also directed episodes for 13 Reasons Why, Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul. Wood most recently appeared in The Code, the CBS military drama and the thriller Falling Water. Adeliyi appeared in The Porter along with Aml Ameen.
