Fritz Lang’s Metropolis to get series Adaptation by Apple
The Classic ‘Metropolis’ will become a series soon. This is under AppleTV+ and with Sam Esmail’s direction. The 1927 silent film refers to Wealthy and business people’s influence on the metropolis. The Mr.Robot director Sam Esmail is the writer, director, Executive producer of this series.
This idea of becoming a series was from 2016. Now Copyrights of the movie are in hands of Apple. The news was officially announced on Tuesday. this amazing Sci-fi film will hit the small screen soon.
Plot of Metropolis
The plot of Metropolis is when the rich people are leading luxurious lives and the poor suffer the most. Freder Frederson the son of one of the rich people gets to know this injustice situation. This was because of the worker Maria. A terrible accident occurs in the city which costs many lives. This is the trigger incident in the movie.
Now the ‘Metropolis’ film story will change according to Today world. Esmail will show his magical work in this series too. The famous work of Esmail is ‘Mr. Robot’.It is under USA Network. This show brought fame to Rami Malek. That made him win an Emmy for the character. In Addition to that Mr.Robot was nominated for 14 Emmys. It has four seasons in total. Esmail directed and executive produced ‘Homecoming’ which is Amazon series. He served as executive producer to ‘The Resort’, ‘Gaslit’, ‘Angelyne’ and ‘Battlestar Galactica’.
The movie ‘Metropolis’ is considered one of the best movies at that time. It grossed over 1.6 million dollars which is the biggest achievement in the silent era. It is named as 35th greatest movie of all time by the British Film Institute. Let’s hope we will see this Masterpiece soon.
