After no show at the spring season slot Dancing With the Stars season, 28 has been finally announced. The highly anticipated show has brought some of the biggest, notorious, controversial and decent names for this one hell of a season.
The reality competition is returning after taking a hiatus during the spring. The cast was revealed to the public on August 21 during ABC’s Good Morning America’s Wednesday live telecast. The 12 stars studded cast members coming in various walks of stardom, a supermodel, a White House Spokesperson, an NBA star, and a reality TV queen being the highlights.
Page Six had previously suggested Christie Brinkley might be on the list. The producers have been trying for the last 15 years to bring her on board, and finally, this is the season. Brinkley, 65, a supermodel for Sports Illustrated recently returned to Broadway essaying the role of Roxie Hart in the successful run of Chicago.
The timing was right according to Christie who was also spotted in Hollywood filming for the season premiere of The Goldbergs.
The most controversial figure on the list might just be former Trump aide and White House Spokesperson, Sean Spicer. Spicer, known for his notoriety during his time at White House was a subject of criticism on Twitter after a cameo at the Emmy Awards.
Adding to the roster, Hannah Brown,24, of The Bachelorette fame might just some suits on the show after not so romantic outing on her last reality TV outing.
Lamar Odom, 39, the NBA star has also swapped the court for the Ballroom after an unsuccessful return to basketball. The Ex-husband of Khloe Kardashian is accompanied by fellow athlete Ray Lewis,44, a hall of Famer at NFL. Interesting to see which ball game legend can really perform for the Mirrorball trophy.
Dawson Leery from the Dawson’s Creek also packed bags as actor James Van Der Beek is all set to dazzle the dance floor.
Country singer Lauren Alaina, 24, Mary Wilson the founding member of The Supremes and Ally Brooke,26, a former member of Fifth Harmony, complete the representation from the music industry.
From the acting fraternity Karamo Brown, 38, best known for Queer Eye will be battling Kate Flannery,55, best remembered from The Office days. With Nickelodeon’s Kel Mitchell, 40, best known for Kenan & Kel completing the star cast.
Although the professionals pairing is yet to be announced to the public, we are sure of Tom Bergeron hosting the hit ABC show along with the judges Carrie Ann Inaba, Len Goodman, and Bruno Tonioli.
The show airs on September Monday 16 at 8 PM ET. Stay tuned as battle unravels.
