‘Perry Mason’ Season 2 Adds Paul Raci, Sean Astin, Tommy Dewey, Jen Tullock to Cast

American crime drama Perry Mason is coming back in second season. Every fan was very anticipated for the new season and its finally coming out on Q4, 2022. The first episode aired on June 21, 2020 on HBO. Written by Rolin Jones and Ron Fitzgerald, Matthew Rhyes plays the lead role of Perry Mason. But later in April 2021, it was announced that Rolin and Ron have left and new showrunners, Jack Amiel and Michael Begler replaced them.

Based on the story of a top notch lawyer named Perry Mason (played by Matthew Rhyes) who was recovering from the trauma of his wife divorcing him and the The Great War. He gets hired for a mysterious case of a missing child. But soon his life turns upside down. The character Perry Mason was created by Eric Stanley Garner, an American lawyer and author. He wrote many interesting stories starring Perry Mason.

New Faces In Town

In the second season, the cast is getting expanded as four new members have been added to the list. HBO added Sean Astin (Stranger Things), Jen Tullock (Before You Know It), Tommy Dewey (Casual) and Paul Raci (Sound of Metal).

Sean Astin is best known for his role in Lord of the Rings trilogy as Samwise Gamgee. And it has been confirmed that Shea Wingham, who was a main cast member in the first season will also return in the second season.

The story in second season takes place few months after the events of first season. When The Great Depression had taken its toll and everything was falling apart, Perry gets a sensational case and during the pursuit of justice, Perry reveals that there’s something wrong.
